Data coverage
| Area | Data |
|---|---|
| Stocks | End of day prices and security metadata, intraday IEX prices, and consolidated and overnight (BOATS) equity prices |
| Forex and crypto | Forex quotes and history, crypto prices and metadata, and Crypto Yield lending data |
| Funds | Mutual fund and ETF fee metadata and fee metrics |
| Research | Asset search, financial news, company fundamentals, and financial statements |
| Corporate actions | Dividends, distributions, dividend yield, and splits |
| Live data | Short, bounded subscriptions to Tiingo's live IEX and consolidated equity feeds |
Some of these Tiingo datasets are in beta or need specific account features. A REST call uses API quota and bandwidth, and a live subscription uses bandwidth.
run install
Install the server
On macOS, install with Homebrew, then add the server to Claude Code with your Tiingo API key:
brew tap major7apps/tiingo-mcp https://github.com/major7apps/tiingo-mcp
brew install major7apps/tiingo-mcp/tiingo-mcp
claude mcp add tiingo --env TIINGO_API_KEY=your-api-key-here -- tiingo-mcp
The GitHub repository covers the other installation methods, the configuration for other MCP clients, every tool, and the access rules for each dataset.
